About Me

From Nerd Glasses to Design Nerd

I started out as a mechanical engineer in the semiconductor industry, which somehow led to joining a startup building heads-up displays. Two successful Kickstarter campaigns later, I'd managed production in China and designed the packaging and the website and realized the parts I couldn't stop thinking about were the creative ones. So I made the pivot: I enrolled in DesignLab, dead set on becoming a Product Designer, and I've been happily building products ever since. Five-plus years and counting.

Away from the artboard I'm usually doing one of two things: chasing a little white ball around a golf course, or chasing light with a camera. Both reward patience, framing, and knowing when to commit to the shot.
